My story...

My journey with dogs began at an early age as my parents ran a home boarding service, as well as having many of our own rescue dogs along the way. It felt natural for me to pursue a career in this field too! I started off in working in doggy daycares, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities. From there, I moved into dog walking, working with dogs in real world environments and seeing first hand how different settings, routines, and relationships can shape behaviour. These experiences gave me a deep understanding of dogs as individuals - not just as breeds or training "types".

I later went on to qualify as a dog trainer, a path that was heavily shaped by my own rescue dog, Bonnie. Living with a reactive and challenging dog taught me more than any textbook ever could. It showed me how overwhelming life can feel for both dogs and owners when things aren't working - and how important it is to look beyond quick fixes. That experience is what truly drove my desire to help other owners who are struggling and feeling stuck, and who simply want to enjoy life with their dogs again.

I was originally trained and qualified through an R+ organisation (IMDT), and while positive reinforcement remains a very important and main part of my work, I've come to realise that no single approach suits every dog or human. Today, I take a far more holistic view, looking at the whole picture of a dog's life - from their environment and emotional wellbeing to routine, fulfilment and nutrition. I'm particularly passionate about canine nutrition and how it can impact behaviour and overall quality of life.

My goal is not to help you avoid the world with your dog (as I did for a while), but to help you navigate it together with confidence. I believe in practical, compassionate support that meets you where you are, and helps you and your dog build understanding, trust and resilience - so you can both truly live your best lives.
